MEET THE SENIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM
Owner / Principal Leader - Sandy Clayton
Sandy has been Owner and Principal Leader at Toadhall Montessori Nurseries and Out of School Academy for 33 years and has a BA Hons Degree in Education. She is a qualified Primary Teacher, specialising in early years care and education. Sandy has completed her Montessori Teacher Certificate and has also gained an MA in ‘Leadership & Management’ and ‘Coaching to Inspire Leadership’. She has also qualified as an Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator (ALNCO), a Family Links Parent Nurturing Leader, an OCN Level 3 Forest School Leader, Coastal School Leader and gained the Level 3 qualification, in Playwork.
Sandy is responsible for strategic development within the organisation. She also oversees the leadership and management of Toadhall Montessori and writes and delivers in house training programmes, to continually enhance the professional development of the Toadhall Montessori team, thus improving overall practice and standards. This in turn, ensures high quality early years provision. Sandy also leads and supports the staff in the Out of School Academy, which includes After School and Holiday provision. Sandy also acts as an Early Years Consultant and Trainer to other early years settings.
Sandy oversees curriculum development within the Creche, Nursery and Out of School Academy. Sandy is primarily based in the main office at Nursery and supports all leaders in their leadership and management roles, as well as supporting all staff in their professional Early Years and Montessori practice.
Senior Operational Leader - Jackie Bostanci
Miss Jackie has been with Toadhall Montessori for over 27 years. She is totally dedicated and committed to ensuring all of the needs of the children and parents are fully met. Jackie has gained her Montessori Teacher Certificate, has achieved CCLD Level 4 (equivalent to CCLD Level 5) in childcare and has also completed an accredited 10‑day Art of Leadership external training course and the 8 session in-house Leadership and Management training. She has also gained her ILM Level 5. Jackie is a qualified Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator (ALNCO), a Family Links Parent Nurturing Leader and has gained her Level 3 in Playwork.
Jackie is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day leadership and management of Creche, Nursery and Out of School Academy. She also monitors the quality of care and education within the organisation. Jackie oversees all new parents and children who commence Toadhall Montessori, by undertaking ‘show arounds’ for prospective parents. Jackie is also responsible for all aspects of Health & Safety including staff training.
Jackie is primarily based in the office at Creche and leads the Creche team, along with supporting her Creche Deputy Team Leaders, in their leadership and management roles. Jackie also provides mentoring and coaching for all staff.
Carrie Charles – Staff Development Leader
Miss Carrie has been with Toadhall Montessori for over 18 years and has gained her CCLD Levels 3 and 5. She has also undertaken the 10 Day Art of Leadership programme. She has worked as a team leader and keyworker, so understands the organisation extremely well and the high standards to which we work.
Carrie is responsible for staff development and undertakes induction, supervisions and annual appraisals with each member of staff along with overseeing their individual training programmes to enhance their continuous professional development (CPD).
Carrie has gained her Level 4 Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and her Level 5 Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. She is a qualified counsellor ,working with both children and adults and incorporates this knowledge, understanding and skills to monitor and support the health, wellbeing and professional development, of all staff, along with supporting children and parents, when needed.
