TOADHALL MONTESSORI NURSERIES AND OUT OF SCHOOL ACADEMY

At Toadhall Montessori Nurseries and Out of School Academy our main aim is to ensure everyone is kept as safe and secure as possible. We follow both Welsh Government and Public Health Wales, Covid-19 guidelines and legislation.

We have a robust Risk Assessment and Site Operational Procedures (RASOPS), document in place which is under continual review. All staff receive extensive training in all aspects of our Covid-19 Risk Assessment and Site Operational Procedures, related to when they are in work and equally important, when they are not in work and out and about both locally and further afield, to ensure they are fully compliant at all times, particularly in relation to:

• • Personal Hygiene and Handwashing
  • Social Distancing Measures
  • Wearing Masks/Face Shields and other PPE
  • Travelling
  • Test ,Trace and Prevent

Our Covid-19 Risk Assessment and Site Operational Procedures has been checked and verified by Peninsula, our Health and Safety Advisors. Following an extensive inspection of each setting, Peninsula have awarded us a certificate, to state we are a ‘COVID-19 SAFE’, organisation. We are extremely proud of this achievement and are continually striving to ensure this standard is both maintained and enhanced to keep everyone who uses our service is as Covid-19 Safe, as possible.

All parents receive a copy of the RASOPS and any amendments that are made. We welcome feedback and suggestions from staff and parents, to ensure our Covid-19 systems are continually in line with Welsh Government and Public Health Wales guidelines and the specific needs of our organisation.

All parents and visitors to our settings, must agree to be fully compliant with our RASOPS at all times ,again both when attending the settings with their children and when they are at home or out and about, locally and further afield.

The RASOPS covers, parents who are interested in a place for their child and require a ‘show around’’. Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic we have given virtual tours to prospective parents. More recently, as lockdown restrictions have eased and more parents have been vaccinated, we are now allowing face to face visits, which are conducted at the end of the day, in a socially distanced way and with parents required to wear face coverings.

At Toadhall Montessori Nurseries and Out of School Academy, we believe that if we all work together and do the right thing at all times, we will get through these challenging times.

However, In order to do this, we have implemented a robust Covid-19 Risk Assessment and Site Operational Procedures, (RASOPS), which is in line with current Welsh Government Protective Measures for Childcare Settings. Our RASOPS has been continually reviewed and updated throughout the pandemic and this will continue for some time to come. A copy of the RASOPS is given to all Parents upon commencing a place at Toadhall Montessori.

We actively encourage all staff, parents and children who are eligible, to take up the offer of the 2 doses of the Covid-19 vaccination and any ‘booster jabs’ that are available. All staff undertake Lateral Flow Testing twice weekly, which supports our RASOPS and keep us informed about the Covid-19 vaccinations they have received. Parents are also required to let us know if they are undertaking Lateral Flow Testing and have had their Covid-19 vaccinations. We keep records of this information, in line with all GDPR and Data Protection requirements.
